The Potato Plague bonus game begins with a locked “Rotten Potato” Wild symbol (1×2 size) on the middle reel. Wins involving the “Rotten Potato” Wild symbol infect reel positions. Infected positions can reappear as Mystery Symbols in subsequent spins. Accumulate infected positions to progress through 5 stages of infection, earning extra spins and adding more SuperSpinner multipliers.
Infected Reel Positions
If the “Rotten Potato” Wild symbol participates in a winning combination, the positions of all paying symbols involved in that combination become infected. Additionally, after every spin, a random number of uninfected positions on the game grid may also become infected. If the bonus game is triggered by landing 5 Scatter symbols, random position infection is guaranteed. An infected reel position acts as a “Mystery Symbol.” Positions remain infected until the bonus game ends.
Infection Stages
The “Potato Plague” bonus features 5 infection stages, displayed on a meter above the reels. As new positions on the reels become infected, the meter fills up and the game advances to the next stages. Advancing to a new stage awards extra spins and unlocks an additional SuperSpinner multiplier. The value of this additional SuperSpinner multiplier is displayed on the Rotten Potato Wild symbol.
