Behind locked bars, there are five stationary chambers. They only open when a key lands on the game grid; a locked chamber remains inactive and cannot be part of a winning combination.
A single key can unlock between 1 and 5 chambers simultaneously. In the base game, each unlocked chamber triggers one of the following features: “Riot Control,” “Police Brutality,” “Prison Commissary,” or “Joker.” In the bonus round, the pool of potential features changes to: “Soap,” “Extra Free Spins,” “Joker,” “Riot Control,” or “Police Brutality.”
Each feature can be triggered no more than once per spin.
One of the symbols present on the grid is selected, and every instance of that symbol is upgraded by one rank.
Upgrades occur within a specific symbol group: “high-value” symbols advance within their own category (H4 → H3 → … → H1), while “low-value” symbols advance within theirs (L4 → L3 → … → L1). It is not possible for a symbol to transition from the “low-value” category to the “high-value” category.
Symbols at the highest rank within each group (H1/L1) cannot be upgraded; therefore, they can never be selected for this action. Locked or protected cells remain unaffected. If there are no symbols on the grid eligible for an upgrade, nothing happens.
Applies a weighted multiplier to each high-value cell on the reels.
Limits one Wild symbol per spin: if the limit is strict enough, one corresponding high-value cell will turn into a Wild symbol, retaining its multiplier.
One of the low-paying symbols present on the game grid is selected; the number of its instances is counted, and an increasing payout is awarded: 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x…; the maximum payout is (2^(number of instances – 1) x bet).
On any given spin (in both the base game and the bonus round), there is a small chance that the entire game grid will be filled with high-paying symbols.
This feature does not trigger during the “Super Bonus” mode.
The Bonus is triggered by landing 3 bonus scatters, while the Super Bonus is triggered by landing 4. Both versions award 7 free spins.
Bonus (Shower): The round begins with one “soap” symbol – a Wild – whose color and multiplier value remain fixed for the duration of the feature: red (1-3x), blue (3-5x), or gold (50-100x). On each spin, the “soap” moves to a new position, and any win that includes this symbol is multiplied by its value. Unlocking padlocks can add extra “soap” symbols (up to three at a time), grant additional free spins (from 2 to 5), introduce a Wild symbol, or trigger the “Riot Control” or “Police Brutality” features.
Super Bonus (“Psychopathic Killer”): This mode does not feature standard win-formation mechanics, Wilds, “soap” symbols, padlocks, or riots. On every spin, the Killer moves from the central cell toward the nearest “victim” and continues “killing” them until the first miss. The “victims” consist of all high-paying symbols (inmates) and symbols depicting prison staff (1 to 3 such symbols appear on each spin).
Prisoner symbols award “years” (multipliers): H4 – 1–3, H3 – 4-6, H2 – 8-10, H1 – 12-15.
The correctional officer symbol awards a “life sentence” or – in the case of a particularly grave crime (occurring in approximately 1 out of 10 instances) – a “death sentence.” There is no limit to the number of “death sentences” that can be awarded. The “Hallucination” feature (which triggers randomly during any spin) sends the killer into a state of madness, causing him to eliminate all characters on the game grid simultaneously.
The accumulated winnings are paid out as a single lump sum following the final spin. The total is calculated as follows: (1 + total number of “years”) × (1 + number of “life sentences”) × (1 + number of “death sentences”) × the bet amount. The final payout is capped at a maximum of 20,000x the bet.
