About the Game

Oxygen 3 is a 6-reel, 7-row slot from ELK Studios featuring drop symbols and cluster wins. A winning cluster consists of 5 or more identical symbols connected vertically or horizontally. Only the largest cluster of connected symbols is paid.

Buy Bonus / X-iter

The X-iter feature can be purchased by clicking the “X-iter” button, selecting the X-iter mode with the player’s currency displayed, and clicking the “Spin” button. X-iter features can only be activated in the main game. The theoretical return to player (RTP) for all X-iter game modes is 96.0%.

Game Rules

The game has two modes: regular and Bonus mode with Bonus features.

Wild symbols substitute for any payout symbol. A winning combination consisting solely of Wild symbols pays the same as the symbol with the highest payout.

Oxygen 3 uses the Avalanche mechanic: the game begins with the landing of symbols. All winning symbols are collected and either removed or, if the symbol is a special Wild, activated for a subsequent explosion. The remaining symbols are subject to gravity, falling vertically until they reach their final position. New symbols fill the empty spaces.

The Avalanche continues as long as new winning combinations are formed.

The first time a winning symbol is removed from its position, an Oxygen Bubble is activated. Each time a winning symbol is removed from a position with an already activated Oxygen Bubble, the multiplier value doubles (an activated Oxygen Bubble counts as x1). Oxygen Bubbles are not affected by gravity. All Oxygen Bubbles and their multiplier values ​​are retained between Bonus occurrences in Bonus mode.

Multipliers

The Multiplier Invasion feature places clusters of Oxygen Bubbles with multipliers on the reels before symbols land. The Multiplier Invasion feature can be triggered by any symbol or Bonus.

The Shell symbol is also a Wild symbol and substitutes for any payout symbol. If the Shell symbol is part of a winning combination, it will trigger one of three features immediately after the win is calculated: Starfish, Clam, or Pearl.

The Pearl is one of three functions that can be activated using the Shell. Only one Pearl can be on the playing field at a time.

The Pearl is activated after a win is calculated and before the symbols are dropped. One payout symbol is selected on the playing field. Each symbol of this type remains fixed for the duration of the feature.

Feature symbols also remain fixed on the field and do not disappear, even if they form part of winning combinations. A re-drop cycle is triggered, during which all other types of payout symbols disappear and new symbols appear on the field. Wins are calculated after each re-drop, with the exception of payout symbols selected by the Pearl feature.

The redrop cycle continues until at least one more payout symbol of the selected type or Wild symbol appears on the reels, or until the reels are filled with symbols of the selected type and/or feature symbols.

Once the redrop cycle is complete, all fixed symbols are released, after which a final win calculation is performed, including all symbols on the reels.

The Clam is one of three symbols that can appear when opening the Shell.

The Shell initiates a cycle in which it creates a Wild symbol in its current position and then moves to a new position. The Shell repeats this cycle until it leaves the playing field.

The Starfish is one of three symbols that can appear when opening the Shell.

When the Starfish appears, a cycle begins in which it rotates, pointing horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The Starfish then removes payout symbols in the selected direction. Any feature symbol along the way is activated. The Starfish increases the multiplier in its final position. The Starfish repeats this cycle until it turns into a Wild symbol.

The Explosive Wild is a special Wild symbol that can be triggered to explode. An Explosive Wild is activated if it is part of a winning cluster or if it is affected by the explosion of another Explosive Wild, the pulse of a Blaster Wild, or a Starfish.

An activated Explosive Wild explodes when no more winning combinations can be formed. The explosion removes all payout symbols within two conical zones facing up and down or left and right of the Wild symbol, causing new symbols to appear.

The Blaster Wild is a special Wild symbol that can be activated to trigger a boost.

A Blaster Wild is activated if it’s part of a winning cluster or if it’s affected by the explosion or impulse of another Blaster Wild, Explosive Wild, or Starfish.

An impulse transforms all payout symbols within an X- or +-shaped area around the Blaster Wild into identical symbols. Symbols previously transformed by another impulse and affected by the second impulse are transformed into Wild symbols.

2×2, 3×3, and 4×4 symbols can appear in any symbol combination. All large symbols are considered to be composed of the number of standard 1×1 symbols they cover (for example, a 2×2 symbol counts as 4 standard 1×1 symbols).

Bonus Game

Three Bonus symbols trigger the Bonus Game with 10 Bonus hits. The Bonus Game features an Oxygen Meter, which fills after each winning combination. When full, the meter clears and activates an upgraded multiplier cluster on the game board.

Super Bonus

Three Bonus symbols, one of which is a Super Bonus symbol, activate the Super Bonus game. The Super Bonus game features an Oxygen Super Meter, which fills with each winning combination. When filled completely, the meter clears and activates an upgrade to a large cluster of multipliers on the game board. The Oxygen Meter and Super Oxygen Meter levels are maintained between Bonus occurrences.

The Bonus Game and Super Bonus Game can be retriggered. Two Bonus symbols in Bonus mode add +3 Bonus occurrences. Three Bonus symbols in Bonus mode add +5 Bonus occurrences. The Bonus Game with Bonus occurrences ends when there are no more Bonus occurrences or when the win limit is reached. Wins are paid out at the end of the game round.

Max Win

The maximum total win per game round is 25,000x the bet. The game round ends immediately after reaching the limit, and all winnings are paid out. Bets cannot be changed during the game round. The theoretical payout (RTP) is 96.0%.
