About the Game
The Rock of Dead is a 5-reel video slot from Gold Coin Studios with a reel height of 3-4-5-4-3. The goal is to spin the reels until a winning combination appears. Winning combinations are highlighted on the reels and pay out.

Wild Symbols
Wild symbols appear on reels 2–5.
Wild symbols can substitute for other symbols to form winning combinations. Wild symbols can substitute for all symbols except scatters, plates, jackpot boosters, and bonus symbols.
Free Spins
Free Spins Scatter symbols appear on reels 2, 3, and 4.
Landing 3 Free Spins Scatter symbols triggers a selection of Free Spins. There are two Free Spins options. All features can be triggered in both Free Spins options. Option 1: 8 Free Spins with Wild Multipliers. Wild symbols can land with 2X multipliers. Consecutive Wild Multiplier symbols in a winning combination are multiplied by each other. This Free Spins option can be retriggered, awarding an additional 8 Free Spins. Option 2: 1 Special Spin with a guaranteed win. One of the following features is guaranteed to be activated: Express Collect™, Drummer Feature, Bassist Feature, or Random Jackpot Bonus. The Free Spins option cannot be retriggered.
Function symbols
The Guitarist symbol can only appear on reel 1. The Bassist and Drummer symbols can only appear on reel 5. Feature symbols nudge symbols in the main game and free spins. If even a partial feature symbol appears on the reels, it will nudge it to fill the entire reel.
Feature trigger condition:
- The Bassist and Drummer symbols activate their respective features when they land on reel 5 along with the Guitarist symbol on reel 1 and one or more Record symbols on each of reels 2, 3, and 4.
Function of the bass guitarist
When the Bass Player feature is triggered, the Guitarist symbol on reel 1 transforms into Record symbols. Record symbols on reels 1-4 are combined into a single winning amount and carried over into the feature. Winning amounts carried over into the bonus feature begin on row 2 of the grid. The player is initially awarded 5 spins of the feature. In each spin, all 5 reels spin on row 1. The feature ends when the spin counter reaches zero.
When the feature ends, all winning values in columns 1-4 are multiplied by the value in column 5 in the same row and accumulated. Reels 1-4 may contain the Target symbol or winning values. When the Target symbol lands in row 1, all winning values in the corresponding column move up one row. If a winning value lands on reels 1-4, it moves to row 2 of the feature grid after the spin ends. If there is already a winning value in row 2, the values are summed.
Reel 5 may land the Boost symbol or the +1 symbol. The Boost symbol increases the feature’s multiplier level. The feature has three multiplier levels. The +1 symbol adds 1 to the remaining number of spins.
If the 3 Rock of Dead upgrade is unlocked, the target symbols on reels 1-4 can randomly transform into Golden Target symbols. Golden Target symbols increase the winning values in the corresponding column by 2 or 3 rows.
If the 5 Rock of Dead upgrade is unlocked, the All Targets symbol can appear on reel 5. When the All Targets symbol appears, all winning values in columns 1-4 are moved up one row at the end of the spin. Target symbols do not affect the winning values on the topmost row.
The function of the drummer
When the Drummer Feature is triggered, the feature symbols on reels 1 and 5 will be transformed into Record symbols.
Record symbols on reels 1-5 add up to a single winning value and carry over into the feature. Five feature spins are awarded. Each spin spins five multiplier reels. Multiplier values can be 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, and 8X. During each spin, one record symbol lands in one of five possible multiplier positions. The record symbol is then multiplied by the multiplier value at the position it lands and counted toward the player’s score. If the 2 Rock of Dead upgrade is unlocked, each record symbol can land up to 2 times. If the 4 Rock of Dead upgrade is unlocked, each record symbol can land up to 5 times. Multiplier values are updated each time a record symbol lands.
Rock of Dead Upgrades
The upgrade bar appears above the reels in the base game. Each time a non-winning, non-feature-triggering feature symbol lands on reel 5 in the base game, the upgrade bar increases by one step. There are five upgrades available to unlock. All upgrades are permanent.
- Upgrade 1 – Rock On Feature
After each spin in the base game, there’s a random chance to trigger the Rock On feature. During the Rock On feature, record symbols are randomly added to reels 2-4.
- Upgrade 2 – Drummer Upgrade 1
Each record symbol appearing during the Drummer feature can now be reset up to 2 times.
- Upgrade 3 – Bassist Upgrade 1
Red target symbols on reels 1-4 can randomly transform into a gold target symbol during the Bassist feature.
- Upgrade 4 – Drummer Upgrade 2
Each Record symbol appearing during the Drummer feature can now be reset up to 5 times.
- Upgrade 5 – Bassist Upgrade 2
The “All Targets” symbol is added to reel 5 during the Bassist feature.
Random Jackpot Bonus
The Random Jackpot Bonus can be triggered any time non-winning record symbols land in the main game or free spins. The graphical representation of the winnings is for entertainment purposes only and does not affect the triggering of any features. All 15 positions on the reels will spin individually. Record symbols can land as jackpots or cash values. All cash values landed are frozen on the reels. Record symbols that land as jackpot prizes will be collected. The jackpot prize will be awarded when a sufficient number of the corresponding record symbols are collected.

The feature ends after the jackpot is awarded. Up to two jackpot prizes can be awarded simultaneously. The jackpot prize is added to the total cash values won during the feature. After the feature ends, the jackpot prize will reset to the minimum value.
Jackpot Prizes
The Minor, Major, and Mini jackpots are displayed above reels 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The jackpot value changes with the bet. Major, Minor, and Mini jackpot prizes are increased by 0.4x the bet for each Jackpot Boosting symbol appearing on the corresponding reel. The Mega jackpot cannot be increased. Once the jackpot prize reaches its maximum value, it can no longer be increased. Jackpot prizes reset to the minimum value after they are awarded. Jackpot prizes can be won during the Random Jackpot Bonus.

Express Collect™
When the Guitarist symbol lands on reel 1 and winning symbols appear on adjacent reels from left to right, the Express Collect™ feature is triggered. Record symbols will only be collected if they appear consecutively from left to right on adjacent reels, starting with reel 2. In this feature, the player receives the displayed values of the record symbols. Record symbol values range from 0.4X to 500X the bet.
Paylines
A combination is a series of adjacent symbols lining up on the reels. There are 720 possible combinations. Combination wins are calculated from left to right, starting with the first reel. A player wins when identical symbols appear in adjacent positions within a combination.
