Winning streaks and general trends in Dragon Tiger play for a particular shoe are recorded on various scoreboards. These graphical representations of the previous round’s results and other statistics for the current shoe can be useful in predicting the results of future rounds.
The BEAD ROAD and BIG ROAD scoreboards display the results of each previous round, while the Big Eye Road, Small Road, and Cockroach Road scoreboards display the data from the BIG ROAD scoreboard.
The Roads scoreboard and shoe statistics are always cleared when a new shoe is used.
Each cell on the BEAD ROAD board represents the result of the previous round. The result of the earliest round is recorded in the upper left corner. The data should be viewed in a column from top to bottom; then start with the top cell of the adjacent column to the right, and so on. A cell with a solid red fill means the Dragon has won. A cell with a solid yellow fill means the Tiger has won. A cell with a solid green fill means a tie. You can change the language of the Bead Road board from English to Simplified Chinese or select the “Score Display Mode” by clicking/tapping anywhere on it.
The BIG ROAD board records the result of the earliest round in the upper left corner. A new column is created each time the Dragon’s winning streak changes to Tiger’s or vice versa. A cell with a red border indicates a Dragon win. A cell with a yellow border indicates a Tiger win. A tie is represented by a green line running through the cell of the previous round. If the first round ends in a tie, a green line appears first, and a red or yellow border appears around the line after either the Dragon or Tiger wins a round. If two or more consecutive rounds end in a tie, the number on the line represents the number of rounds that ended in a tie.
True Dragon Tiger fans use the Big Eye Road, Small Road, and Cockroach Road boards to view patterns derived from past results recorded on the BIG ROAD board. The Big Eye Road board uses circles with borders, the Small Road board uses circles with solid fills, and the Cockroach Road board uses slanted lines. However, on these Derived Road boards, the red and yellow colors do not correspond to Dragon and Tiger wins, and there is no way to determine ties. On the Derived Road board, red symbols indicate repetition, and yellow symbols indicate a less regular, “variable” shoe.
The Derived Road boards do not start with the first deal of the shoe. They start with the hand following the first hand in the second, third and fourth columns of the BIG ROAD board. Once the Road Derivatives board starts filling, an additional red or yellow symbol is added at the end of each round.
