About the Game

Ice Wolf 2 is a 6-column, 3-7-row video slot from ELK Studios. The game offers 729 to 100,842 winning combinations, depending on the amount of ice remaining. Therefore, the leftmost feature row contains only non-paying feature symbols.

A game round at the selected bet level begins when the player presses the Spin button. The game can be played automatically by activating the Auto Spin feature. Hold Spin or use the Auto Spin button to set the number of automatic rounds. Wins and winning combinations are paid out according to the payout table.

Wins are displayed in the player’s currency or coins. The player can change these settings in the settings. The game board consists of three reel sections. The topmost section consists of a single row, called the Feature Row. The Feature Row is the section containing feature symbols and empty symbol positions.

In normal mode, only Wild symbols, multiplier symbols, bonus symbols, and Golden Wolf symbols can appear in the feature row.

In bonus mode, the bonus symbol in the feature row is replaced by the +1 Spin symbol.

Below the feature row is a three-row section of the reels called the Ice Section.

Feature Row

At the start of a game round, all symbols in the feature row and the ice section are covered in ice. Symbols covered in ice are inactive and do not contribute to wins or otherwise influence the game. Below the ice section is a three-row section of the reels, called the main section. All symbols in the main section are active.

If one or more winning combinations occur during the preliminary evaluation, winning symbols clear several ice blocks in the corresponding columns. The number of ice blocks cleared corresponds to the number of winning symbols, column by column.

Based on the ice clearing after the preliminary evaluation, the win will be assessed. Each active symbol will be taken into account when calculating the win, but no further ice will be cleared.

Each winning combination triggers a Respin on all reels after a payout. Active Ice Wolf symbols activate the Ice Wolf feature. The game round ends when winning combinations or Ice Wolves awarding Respins are exhausted, at the end of the bonus mode, or when the maximum number of wins is reached. Cleared ice does not reappear until the next game round.

Wolf Den

Symbols cleared of ice become active and can contribute to wins or otherwise influence the game. A Golden Wolf symbol landing in a feature row will clear the ice in its position and two adjacent ones, activating itself. Below the main section is a feature section called the Wolf’s Lair. At the start of a game round, the Wolf’s Lair is covered in ice.

The Wolf’s Lair feature section is activated during the bonus game. After the reels stop spinning, a preliminary evaluation reveals winning combinations, taking into account only the currently active symbols. The spin ends if there are no winning combinations remaining and no respins are awarded.

Wilds

Regular Wild symbols (silver base and gold text) and Golden Wild symbols (gold base and silver text) substitute for any payout symbol. The Golden Wild symbol can appear with a multiplier of x2, x3, or x5.

Multipliers

The multiplier for both Wild symbol types increases whenever the Wolf feature is triggered. Wild multipliers always increase by 1.

The Wild symbol, without an existing multiplier, receives a x2 multiplier when affected by the Wolf feature. The Wild symbol appears in all sections of the reels from the second to the sixth column. The Gold Wild symbol appears on reels 3-6 in all sections except for certain features.

Wild symbols trapped by ice remain sticky until the ice is cleared or a new round begins. Gold Wild symbols are sticky and only spin at the start of a new round.

Some features may contain sticky symbols, which persist between Repsins, spinning only at the start of the bonus mode, between Wolf Spins in the bonus mode, and between rounds.

Bonus

Wild symbols in the feature row remain sticky between respins until they contribute to a win.

Multiplier symbols in the feature row remain sticky between respins.

Bonus and +1 Spin symbols in the feature row remain sticky between respins. Both are activated once the respins are over and spin in the next Wolf Spin bonus game.

At the start of the bonus mode and between Wolf Spins, only ice-covered regular and golden Wild symbols do not spin.

The Howling Wolf symbol appears in the main section on reels two through six.

Before a win is assessed, the Howling Wolf turns left or right, howls, and clears all the ice in a cone-shaped area at a 90° angle (45° up and 45° down) from the Howling Wolf symbol’s position. All Wild symbols in the cone receive an increased multiplier.

After howling and before the preliminary assessment, the Howling Wolf symbol turns into a Wild symbol.

The Ice Wolf symbol appears in the main and ice sections of the second through sixth reels.

Ice Wolf symbols can also appear from the Wolf’s Lair during the bonus mode.

The Ice Wolf feature is activated if the Ice Wolf symbol becomes active at the end of a spin, triggering an Ice Wolf Respin, in which all Ice Wolf symbols remain Sticky.

During the Ice Wolf Respin, before the reels stop, a wolf runs along each column with an active Ice Wolf symbol, removing all ice from them.

All symbols from the active Ice Wolf symbol’s position upwards in the main and ice sections are transformed into Wild symbols.

Wild symbols touched by the running wolf, including Wild symbols in the feature row, receive an increased multiplier.

The Golden Wolf symbol appears only in the feature row from the second to the fifth column.

The appearance of the Golden Wolf symbol always activates the Golden Wolf feature before any wins are assessed. The Golden Wolf feature affects three columns: the one containing the Golden Wolf symbol and the adjacent columns.

During the Golden Wolf feature, the wolf runs across all affected columns from the bottom of the feature row, clearing all ice from them. All symbols beneath the Golden Wolf symbol turn into Wild symbols.

Wild symbols left by the Golden Wolf can have an initial multiplier of x2, x3, or x5.

All affected symbols (on all three columns) in Ice Wolf 2 that are already Wild receive an increased multiplier. Multiplier symbols appear only in the Feature Row. Active multiplier symbols multiply all wins by the displayed value, regardless of their position. Possible multiplier symbol values ​​are: x2, x3, x5, x10, and x50.

Multiplier symbols alone cannot create or be part of winning combinations. The total win multiplier is equal to the sum of the values ​​of all active multiplier symbols plus the sum of the values ​​of all Wild symbols with a multiplier in a winning combination. The bonus symbol appears only in the feature row in normal mode.

An active bonus symbol at the end of the regular game activates the Wolf Spins bonus game. The bonus game is activated when the respins are exhausted. Only one bonus symbol can appear per game round. At the start of the bonus game, 5 Wolf Spins are awarded.

The +1 Spin symbol appears only in the feature row during the bonus mode. Each active +1 Spin symbol at the end of a Wolf Spin awards an additional Wolf Spin. Starting the bonus mode opens the Wolf’s Lair feature section at the bottom of the reels. Each spin in the bonus mode can trigger the Wolf’s Lair feature.

The Wolf’s Lair feature can activate up to four Ice Wolf symbols in the Wolf’s Lair from the second to the fifth reel. It is triggered immediately after the reels stop spinning.

During the Wolf’s Lair feature, wolves run along each reel with an active Ice Wolf symbol in the Wolf’s Lair, clearing all ice from them.

All symbols from the position of the active Ice Wolf symbol upward in the main and ice sections turn into Wild symbols.

Wild symbols touched by the running wolf, including Wild symbols in the feature row, receive an increased multiplier. Active Ice Wolf symbols in the Wolf’s Lair do not award respins.

Winnings begin from the leftmost reel and are paid from left to right only on adjacent reels. Gaps between reels do not count. Only the longest line on each active payline is paid. An active payline is defined as the longest winning combination of symbols.

The X-iter feature offers several different game modes.
